Kaizer Chiefs look to cement 3rd place as they host TS Galaxy at FNB Stadium.

The FNB Stadium is set for a high-stakes Betway Premiership clash this Sunday at 15:00, as a surging Kaizer Chiefs side welcomes Nedbank Cup finalists TS Galaxy. With Amakhosi currently occupying third place, a victory would solidify their podium ambitions and extend their winning streak to four matches.

Coming off a commanding 3-1 comeback victory against Orbit College on Monday, the mood at Naturena is buoyant. The Rockets, meanwhile, are looking to find their footing in what has been an inconsistent campaign, currently sitting in 12th position.

Team News & Tactical Shifts

While the medical team has reported a clean bill of health following Monday’s fixture, coach rotation and the return of key personnel are expected to reshape the starting XI.

The biggest boost for the Glamour Boys is the return of Inacio Miguel from suspension. To maintain freshness in the squad, tactical shifts may see Thabiso Monyane and Nkosingiphile Ngcobo move to the bench.

Expected Starting XI (4-3-3):

  • Goalkeeper: Bruce Bvuma
  • Defense: Dillan Solomons (RB), Inacio Miguel (CB), Aden McCarthy (CB), Bradley Cross (LB)
  • Midfield: Lebohang Maboe, Siphesihle Ndlovu, Mduduzi Shabalala (AM)
  • Attack: Wandile Duba (RW), Pule Mmodi (LW), Glody Lilepo (ST)

Settling the Score

This is the second time these two sides meet this season, following a frustrating 0-0 draw at Mbombela Stadium in December 2025. In that encounter, Chiefs felt aggrieved after a Flavio Silva goal was controversially ruled out for offside.

Despite TS Galaxy being reduced to 10 men late in that game following Nhlanhla Mgaga’s dismissal, they managed to hold on for a point. On Sunday, Chiefs will be looking to ensure that their dominance on the pitch reflects on the scoreboard.

Form Guide

  • Kaizer Chiefs: 3rd Place | 39 Points | 11 Wins. Current Form: W-W-W
  • TS Galaxy: 12th Place | 25 Points | Current Form: Inconsistent

Watch out for Wandile Duba and Siphesihle Ndlovu, both of whom are riding a wave of confidence after finding the back of the net in their last outing.
