Majorsteez are gearing up for another major release, and this time the Johannesburg brother duo are joining forces with two of South Africa’s rising hip-hop voices.
The duo have officially announced that their highly anticipated single “Mshini Wam”, featuring Sastii and Lowfeye, will be released on Friday, 18 September 2026.
After keeping fans waiting, Majorsteez took to Instagram to apologise for the delay while finally confirming that the collaboration is ready to drop.
“Sorry for the wait,” the brothers shared, signalling that the long-awaited track is now firmly on the release schedule.
Produced by Koolb Xclsv and Ayo Mush, “Mshini Wam” brings together Majorsteez’s smooth R&B-infused hip-hop style with the more raw and energetic sound associated with Sastii and Lowfeye.
Majorsteez tap into a familiar South African phrase
The title “Mshini Wam” immediately stands out because of its connection to the famous “Umshini wami” chant, a phrase deeply embedded in South African popular and political culture.
Majorsteez appear ready to reinterpret that familiar reference for a new generation, transforming it into the foundation for a contemporary hip-hop record.
With four artists bringing different creative identities to the track, the collaboration could deliver one of the more interesting crossovers in South Africa’s current hip-hop scene.
Sastii and Lowfeye add underground energy
The collaboration also gives Majorsteez an opportunity to connect their established sound with the growing movement surrounding The Qwellers.
Sastii has continued to build momentum with his South Coast Yungin’ Never Follows mixtape, establishing himself as one of the exciting young voices coming through the South African rap scene.
Lowfeye, meanwhile, has been making his own mark through emotionally charged and lyrically focused music. His debut album, NOSANGE, further introduced listeners to his distinctive approach and artistic identity.
Their presence on “Mshini Wam” creates an intriguing combination of established collaborators and younger underground talent.
Koolb Xclsv reunites with Majorsteez
Behind the production is Koolb Xclsv, a longtime collaborator of Majorsteez, alongside Ayo Mush.
Koolb Xclsv’s history with the duo makes his involvement particularly interesting, as his production has previously helped shape the brothers’ sound.
The combination of polished production and street-inspired energy could provide the perfect backdrop for Majorsteez, Sastii and Lowfeye to showcase their individual styles.

Another chapter for Majorsteez
Made up of brothers Sihle and Sandile Mabena, Majorsteez have established themselves as versatile artists capable of moving between R&B, hip-hop and more contemporary sounds.
Their catalogue includes songs such as “Asbonge,” “The Wedding Song,” “Angeke,” and “Too Much Aura,” reflecting the duo’s ability to experiment while maintaining their signature identity.
With “Mshini Wam,” Majorsteez are once again stepping outside their comfort zone and bringing together different corners of South Africa’s hip-hop landscape.
The wait is almost over. Majorsteez, Sastii and Lowfeye will officially unleash “Mshini Wam” on 18 September 2026.
