Rising music star Umthakathi Kush has teamed up with renowned hitmaker Tman Xpress for his latest single, “Heke.” The track’s title, meaning “beware,” carries a central message about caution and recognizing hidden dangers beneath surface glamour.
The Meaning Behind “Heke”
Umthakathi Kush explained the core theme of the song in an interview with TshisaLIVE:
“We wanted to make a track that feels real. It’s about the risks of chasing glamour, the dangers hidden in temptation, and the truths people don’t want to hear. Heke is a warning, but it’s also a celebration of sound.”
The song warns listeners that not “everything that shines loves you.”

Despite still establishing himself in the industry, Umthakathi Kush has already collaborated with notable artists like Tyler ICU. He stressed that genuine connection and energy are paramount when choosing collaborators.
He described his natural synergy with Tman Xpress:
