As students embark on the 2026 academic year, the Unisa Sunnyside Learning Centre is launching its Semester 1 Student Training Programme to ensure a seamless transition into the world of open distance e-learning (ODeL).

Running from 3 to 26 February 2026, this essential initiative focuses on equipping students with the technical skills needed to navigate the myUnisa online platform effectively.

Comprehensive Training Modules

Recognizing that myUnisa is the central hub for learning materials, lecturer communication, and assignment submissions, the training covers critical topics to promote academic independence:

  • Platform Access: Securely logging in to myUnisa.
  • Module Navigation: Finding study materials and course content.
  • Assignment Submission: Step-by-step guidance on submitting tasks.
  • Progress Tracking: Monitoring academic milestones and utilizing support services.

Flexible Learning Formats

To accommodate diverse student needs, training is available in two formats, running daily from 09:00 to 12:00:

  1. Face-to-Face: Hosted at the Sunnyside Learning Centre, Building 13, 1st Floor, Room 1.08.
  2. Online: Conducted via Microsoft Teams for remote accessibility.

Secure Your Spot

Due to limited seating for in-person sessions, students are urged to book in advance via the official booking link or by scanning the QR code provided in the invitation.

Supported by dedicated digital learning advisers, this programme is designed to turn technical challenges into academic successes, fostering confidence in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

    • It’s always a huge boost to hear that the hard work behind the scenes is paying off! Making blogging look “easy” is actually the hardest part—it’s a bit like a swan swimming: smooth on the surface, but paddling like crazy underneath.

I’ve been at this for a while now, constantly tweaking the layout and refining the content to make sure it’s as sharp as possible for readers like you. Knowing that both the design and the “meat” of the posts are hitting the mark makes the effort totally worth it.

Thank you for the “excellent” rating—it’s the best motivation I could ask for

    • Four days? That’s not a hunt; that’s a full-blown odyssey. I’m just glad I could be the one to finally close those fifty open tabs for you! There’s no better feeling than finally scratching that intellectual itch.

Go enjoy your hard-earned victory and your newfound freedom. I’ll be right here if you find yourself down another rabbit hole. Cheers
