With the 2026/27 Betway Premiership season on the horizon, Kaizer Chiefs Communications Officer Vina Maphosa has fueled speculation regarding further player arrivals at Naturena before the transfer window shuts at the end of September.
Fresh off the club’s pre-season tour in Spain, Maphosa addressed the transfer rumors on SABC News, emphasizing that Amakhosi are still actively monitoring market opportunities while gearing up for the annual Toyota Cup this Sunday.
“It’s Not Over Until the Fat Lady Sings”
Having already integrated new signings Renaldo Leaner (goalkeeper ex-Sekhukhune United) and Thabo Moloisane (defender ex-Stellenbosch FC) into head coach Fernando Da Cruz’s setup during their European camp, Maphosa hinted that Naturena management isn’t done yet:
“It’s an exciting question because we took two of our new signings to Spain camp… As to who is coming, it’s that one where we say ‘it is not over until the fat lady sings.’ Until the end of September when the transfer window closes, but it’s exciting times for us,” Maphosa stated on SABC News.
