South African musician Chymamusique has provided a positive update on the public fundraiser established to support his medical expenses following a recent, tragic accident.
The accident, which claimed the life of his friend DJ Poizen and several others, left Chymamusique with severe injuries requiring multiple surgeries and extensive medical care.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the artist announced that the Back A Buddy campaign has successfully raised over R100,000, reaching 50% of its total goal.
“They raised 50% now on Back A Buddy to gift me, they’ve passed R100 000. I’m blessed to have such generous friends, family & supporters,” Chymamusique wrote.
The surge of financial and emotional support from fans, family, and fellow artists underscores the community’s commitment to aiding his recovery journey. The funds will be crucial in covering the costs of his ongoing surgical procedures and necessary medical treatment.
