South African Amapiano stars, the Major League DJz, have publicly refuted accusations from a collective of Kenyan promoters who allege the duo repeatedly failed to honor fully paid performance contracts.

The Allegations:
Three event organisers—The Afters KE, 6AM Entertainment, and The Human District Company—issued a joint statement on Monday, 24 November 2025. They claimed the twins breached multiple booking contracts, resulting in significant financial losses and disappointing fans.
- The promoters specifically mentioned a booking for The Afters KE African Music Festival scheduled for December 12 and 13 at Fort Jesus Museum, asserting the DJz failed to show up despite receiving full payment for all contracted appearances.
- Their statement read: “Despite fulfilling all financial and logistical requirements on our part, the artists and the management have completely failed to honour their commitments…”

The DJz’s Rebuttal:
The twin brothers immediately dismissed the claims in a heated online exchange, insisting they had never signed a contract with the accusing trio.
- They suggested the promoters may have engaged with unauthorized intermediaries rather than their official management.
- The duo stated: “We didn’t sign any contract with you,” adding they are strategically holding off on bookings to first bring their own curated show to Kenya and work with the “right promoter.”
- Furthermore, they clarified that no payment reached them, explaining their bank had rejected the transaction, and the funds would be returned upon resolution of the issue.
The dispute sees Major League DJz added to a list of popular artists, including King Monada, DJ Maphorisa, Young Stunna, and Makhadzi, who have recently faced allegations of missing scheduled performances.
