Kanye West’s highly anticipated Johannesburg concert, originally scheduled for December 13, 2025, has been officially postponed. The decision follows weeks of speculation and is attributed to plans to significantly expand the scope of the event.

🇿🇦 South Africa Show to be Expanded
Ye’s manager, Peter Jideonwo, confirmed the postponement via a statement from Yeezy LLC, indicating the show is evolving beyond a standard concert:
“Yeezy LLC confirms that Ye’s Johannesburg performance is being expanded into a larger Yeezy-led production in South Africa.”
The originally scheduled date will be moved to accommodate the “bigger production and broadcast plans.” Jideonwo stressed that Ye and the Yeezy team remain committed to performing in South Africa and sharing the “Johannesburg homecoming” live with a worldwide broadcast. A new date is expected to be announced shortly via Ye’s verified channels.

Original Organisers Dropped
The statement also confirmed that the original promoters, Monyake Group, have been removed from the project due to a lack of compliance:
“Yeezy LLC is no longer working with the previously announced promoter on this project due to non-compliance.”
Full refunds will be issued to all fans who purchased tickets through TicketPro.

🇧🇷 Following Brazil Cancellation
The Johannesburg postponement comes shortly after a similar cancellation in Brazil. Ye’s show scheduled for November 29, 2025, in São Paulo was called off just a week before the date.
- The city’s mayor prohibited the use of public space for the performance.
- The original venue had terminated its agreement in October.
- Brazilian organizers cited escalating production demands and political constraints that made it “impossible to deliver the event.”
