Media personality and actress Thando Thabethe is making a tangible difference in the lives of young learners, recently visiting Phefeni Secondary School to distribute essential academic supplies.
Recognizing the financial hurdles many students face at the start of the academic year, Thabethe spearheaded an initiative to equip learners with the tools necessary for success.
A Community-Driven Effort
Through her social media platforms, Thabethe shared touching moments from her interaction with the students. She emphasized that the successful initiative was a collaborative effort involving Johannesburg residents and corporate partners.
“Giving back to the community that gave me so much,” Thabethe wrote. “With the help of all of Joburg, @checkers_sa and @waltonssouthafrica we were able to help equip learners… over 100 packs filled with stationery and basic needs for the year ahead.”

The donation included over 100 specialized packs designed to ensure students have the basic necessities required to focus on their studies.
