Kabza De Small rent lawsuit

Amapiano superstar Kabza De Small is embroiled in serious legal trouble following allegations that he failed to pay rent on a luxury apartment, with the drama escalating to the High Court.

According to legal documents and reports surfacing this month, the “King of Amapiano” is accused of owing over R250,000 in arrears and allegedly submitting fake proof-of-payment slips to his landlord.

The Allegations: Fake Receipts and Arrears

The situation took a “wild turn” when the landlord, Abel Dlamini, alleged that Kabza sent EFT proof-of-payment slips for R50,000 and R110,000 back in October 2025. According to the landlord, these funds never cleared in his bank account, leading to allegations of fraudulent documents.

The alleged debt breaks down as follows:

  • September 2025: R65,000 (Missed payment)
  • October – December 2025: R95,000 per month (Missed payments)

Legal Fallout and Response

Dlamini has initiated legal proceedings in the High Court to recover the funds. Furthermore, the landlord confirmed plans to lay criminal fraud charges regarding the allegedly fake payment documents.

An associate of Kabza denied the allegations, claiming the rent was paid through an estate agent and that Kabza had moved to another apartment in the same building due to strict management. The landlord has countered this, stating the lease clearly required direct payment to his account. Kabza’s legal team has stated they will not comment at this stage.
