Kaizer Chiefs are back in Betway Premiership action on Saturday afternoon when they travel to the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium to face Polokwane City.
The Glamour Boys will be looking to make the most of the occasion as they continue their league campaign, with another important fixture awaiting coach Fernando Da Cruz and his squad.
Kick-off is scheduled for 15:00 on Saturday, 12 September 2026, setting the stage for what should be an intriguing afternoon of South African football.
Chiefs Ready for Another League Test
Kaizer Chiefs will enter the contest knowing that every league fixture presents an opportunity to build momentum and collect valuable points.
The trip to Polokwane will not be straightforward, however, with the home side expected to make full use of familiar surroundings and home support.
For Chiefs, the focus will be on translating their attacking quality and possession into goals while maintaining the defensive discipline required to secure a positive result.
Fernando Da Cruz Under the Spotlight
The fixture will also provide another opportunity for Kaizer Chiefs coach Fernando Da Cruz to assess his squad and continue developing his preferred approach.
With competition for places within the team, performances in matches such as this one could prove important for players looking to establish themselves as regular starters.
The Chiefs faithful will be watching closely to see how the team responds when the pressure of another Betway Premiership fixture arrives.
A Match for the Amakhosi Faithful
Chiefs remain one of the biggest-supported clubs in South African football, and their travelling supporters will be hoping to turn the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium into a sea of gold and black.
The matchday atmosphere should add another dimension to a fixture that already carries plenty of interest.
For supporters unable to attend, the game will also be available to watch on SuperSport 202.
