25K shows love to Maglera Doe Boy
25K contributed to the film’s soundtrack through the song Izinja, also associated with the project as Izinja 2.0, featuring Sir Trill.
The track was produced by Bigles for Real and curated by Zoocci Coke Dope.
Sharing his excitement on Instagram, 25K wrote:
“Honoured to be part of this project & contribute to the soundtrack. Always love & respect for my brother.”
He also encouraged his followers to watch the film and stream the song.
The message reflects the mutual respect between the two rappers, who have collaborated on previous projects, including the Champion Music series with DJ Sliqe.
Maglera Doe Boy makes his acting debut
MZANSI represents an important new chapter for Maglera Doe Boy, as he steps into acting for the first time.
Co-created with filmmaker Brian O’Haze, the two-part short film was shot in South Africa and Mozambique. Its creative direction blends hip-hop, fashion, street culture, cultural diversity and romance.
The story follows Doe, a young hustler from Klerksdorp who builds a successful underground import-export operation across Southern Africa.
With a trusted crew supporting him, his business begins to grow. But as success brings new complications, an unexpected romance threatens to disrupt the life he has built.
The storyline places Southern African culture and street experiences at the centre of the film.
A star-studded South African hip-hop connection
The project also features several familiar names from the local entertainment scene.
Alongside Maglera Doe Boy, the lineup includes 25K, Sir Trill, Young Stunna, Material Don Dada and Ason, among others.
Their involvement gives the film a strong connection to South Africa’s hip-hop community, while the soundtrack helps bring its atmosphere and identity to life.
‘MZANSI’ takes local creativity beyond music
With its locations across South Africa and Mozambique, MZANSI aims to tell a story that reaches beyond the traditional music-video format.
The film combines elements of fashion, music, romance and street culture, offering Maglera an opportunity to explore a different creative platform.
For 25K, contributing to the soundtrack is another opportunity to support a collaborator whose artistic journey has developed alongside his own.
The first instalment is available on Maglera Doe Boy’s YouTube channel, with Izinja 2.0 forming part of the project’s musical offering.
