Lebohang Maboe is turning individual recognition into a habit at Kaizer Chiefs, with the experienced midfielder continuing to underline his importance to the Amakhosi.
The 31-year-old has now collected his fifth Betway Premiership Man of the Match award in eight months, adding another personal milestone after Kaizer Chiefs defeated Siwelele FC 3-2 on Sunday.
Maboe’s latest accolade is another indication of the influence he has developed since making the move from Mamelodi Sundowns.
Maboe’s Remarkable Run of Individual Awards
Maboe’s first Man of the Match award came on 28 January 2026, when Kaizer Chiefs edged Marumo Gallants 1-0.
His performances continued to earn recognition over the following months.

Just six days later, Maboe claimed another award following Chiefs’ 2-0 victory over Magesi FC.

Maboe was again singled out for his contribution in midfield.
The midfielder’s fifth award came on 18 April, despite Chiefs being held to a goalless draw by Polokwane City FC.
Now, his latest award against Siwelele has added further weight to the argument that Maboe has become one of Chiefs’ most dependable performers.
