AmaZulu FC president Sandile Zungu has moved to reassure supporters that the club has no plans to sell or release any of its key players during the current season.
With several AmaZulu stars attracting interest, speculation has grown over whether the club could be forced to part ways with some of its regular starters.
However, Zungu has now made the club’s position clear.
Zungu promises no departures this season
Speaking to KickOff, the AmaZulu president gave supporters a firm assurance that the club’s important players will remain in Durban for the rest of the campaign.
“Not this season, I can confidently assure you that none of the starting players or regulars in the team will be leaving during this season,” Zungu said.
He added that the players would remain with AmaZulu until the end of the season, describing the commitment as a firm assurance from the club’s president.
AmaZulu determined to keep their core
Zungu’s comments will come as encouragement to AmaZulu supporters who have been following speculation surrounding some of the club’s in-demand players.
The club appears determined to maintain continuity within its squad rather than allow transfer interest to disrupt its campaign.
By keeping their regular starters together, AmaZulu can now focus on their ambitions for the remainder of the season without the immediate prospect of losing key members of the squad.
For now, Zungu’s message is clear: AmaZulu’s key players are not going anywhere this season.
