Loatinover Pounds has taken over the Apple Music Hip-Hop/Rap chart, with “5 Roses” at No. 1 and “My Life” at No. 2 as Ground 2 Glory continues its strong run.

Loatinover Pounds is continuing his impressive run with Ground 2 Glory, with the Pretoria rapper now occupying the top two spots on the Apple Music Hip-Hop/Rap Songs chart.

Pounds announced the latest milestone on X, revealing that his melodic track “5 Roses” had climbed to No. 1, while another Ground 2 Glory standout, “My Life,” followed at No. 2.

The achievement gives Pounds a rare chart double, with two songs from the same project sitting at the summit of the Hip-Hop/Rap Songs chart.

“We got a new No. 1 Hip Hop / Rap Song!” Pounds wrote while sharing a screenshot of the chart.

The chart performance comes alongside another major milestone for Ground 2 Glory, which was also sitting at No. 1 on the Apple Music Top Albums chart at the time of his announcement.

“5 Roses” Adds Another No. 1 To Pounds’ Run

Released on 25 September 2026 through Punyete Premier League / MODAR, Ground 2 Glory has quickly established itself as one of Pounds’ biggest releases to date.

The project reportedly surpassed one million streams across Spotify, YouTube and Apple Music during its first week and secured No. 1 album positions in South Africa, Botswana and Eswatini.

Its individual tracks have also continued to make an impact.

“My Life” previously reached the top of the Hip-Hop/Rap Songs chart, while “Hood Gospels,” featuring A-Reece, also enjoyed a No. 1 run.

With “5 Roses” now taking the top spot, Pounds has added another major chart achievement to the album’s growing list of successes.

A Different Side Of Loatinover Pounds

“5 Roses” also highlights a softer and more melodic side of the Pretoria rapper.

While Pounds is widely recognised for his sharp lyricism and street-focused storytelling, the track takes a more reflective approach, presenting a smoother perspective on love and relationships.

That versatility has become one of the defining features of Ground 2 Glory. The album moves between introspective records, collaborations, street narratives and melodic moments while maintaining the Pretoria identity that has become central to Pounds’ artistry.

Ground 2 Glory Keeps Building Momentum

The latest chart result adds another chapter to what has become a strong post-release run for Ground 2 Glory.

From the momentum generated by “Sosh Plata” to the success of “My Life,” “Hood Gospels” and now “5 Roses,” Pounds continues to expand the reach of his sound without losing sight of the identity that helped establish him.

With “5 Roses” now at No. 1, “My Life” at No. 2 and Ground 2 Glory leading the album chart, Loatinover Pounds is proving that the project has momentum well beyond its release week.

For the Pretoria rapper, the latest numbers further underline the growing impact of Ground 2 Glory and his position within the current South African hip-hop landscape.
