The friendship between The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip stars Beverly Steyn and Nonku Williams has officially hit the rocks. What started as a private financial favor has escalated into a public showdown at the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court, with Beverly demanding her money back—plus interest.
The Loan Breakdown: High Stakes and Heavy Penalties
According to court documents, the financial fallout centers on two specific loans made in August 2025:
- The First Loan: R25,000 (interest-free).
- The Second Loan: R100,000 (carrying a massive 50% interest rate).
- The Deadline: Nonku was reportedly supposed to settle the debt by September 12, 2025.
- The Penalty: Failure to pay triggered a 30% monthly interest penalty, leading to the current summons for R126,710 (including legal costs).
Nonku Speaks Out: “The Pressure of a Single Mom”
Before scrubbing the statement from her social media, Nonku Williams addressed the allegations directly. She didn’t deny the debt but pointed to the immense pressure of her personal life and business hurdles as the cause for the delay.
“I’m a single mom… there’s a constant pressure to provide the very best for your children,” Nonku shared. “As business owners know, payments can get delayed. I had every intention of paying her back fully.”
Nonku maintained that she had reached out to Beverly to settle the matter privately, expressing disappointment that the dispute has now entered the public record.
The Verdict
With a court summons officially issued, Nonku has a 10-day window to pay up or file a notice to defend. As the legal clock ticks, it seems the “sisterhood” showcased on screen has been permanently fractured by the weight of unpaid Rands.
