Kelvin Momo and the Mamalisa team are so sorry for the no-show due to the current fuel crisis.

Amapiano maestro Kelvin Momo has issued a formal apology to fans and event stakeholders following his unavoidable absence at the Mamalisa event in Polokwane. Despite intense efforts to reach the venue, the star was forced to abandon his journey due to the ongoing fuel shortages currently affecting travel logistics.

An Unavoidable Setback

In a statement shared across his social media platforms, the musician’s team detailed the frustration of the night, explaining that they made repeated, exhaustive attempts to secure diesel ahead of the trip. After visiting multiple service stations to no avail, they were left with the difficult, last-resort decision to return home.

“Dear Fans and Stakeholders, we would like to extend our heartfelt apologies to all stakeholders, fans, and everyone who was looking forward to seeing Kelvin Momo perform… Unfortunately, he was unable to attend due to unforeseen fuel shortages,” the statement read.

Commitment to Fans

The Mamalisa event organizers stood by the artist, echoing the apology in their own communication. They emphasized that the situation was entirely outside of the artist’s control and expressed appreciation for the fans’ patience during this time.

Both the artist and the Mamalisa production team are now actively coordinating to secure a new date. “We sincerely understand the disappointment and inconvenience this may have caused… Please be assured that both Kelvin Momo and the Mamalisa team are committed to finding a suitable new date that works for all parties,” the statement confirmed.

Kelvin Momo concluded by thanking his supporters for their continued loyalty, promising to make it up to his Polokwane fans with an even bigger performance when the show is rescheduled.
