Natasha Joubert is sharing her honest journey into motherhood, reminding us all that it’s okay not to have it all figured out. We love the transparency, Natasha

Former Miss South Africa Natasha Joubert is winning hearts for her refreshing transparency regarding the complexities of new motherhood. Just days after welcoming her first child—a baby girl—with her husband, Enrico Vermaak, the 28-year-old took to Instagram to pull back the curtain on the emotional rollercoaster that follows bringing a newborn home.

The “Adrenaline” Illusion

Joubert, who maintained a transparent connection with her followers throughout her pregnancy, didn’t shy away from the early challenges. She described the initial days at home as a blur of high energy and excitement.

“The first four days at home, my adrenaline was at an all-time high. Healing didn’t feel difficult at all. I was excited, motivated, ready to do anything,” she shared.

The Emotional Shift

However, as the adrenaline faded, the reality of the postpartum transition set in. Joubert candidly recounted a period of intense vulnerability, admitting, “I cried for two days NON-STOP.”

She described the fluctuating nature of early parenthood—where great days are punctuated by moments of profound self-doubt. “And then you get a few good days… even great days… and then the days where you sit there wondering, how did we ever think we were ready to be parents?”

Normalizing the Journey

Joubert was quick to clarify that her post was not a cry for help, but an attempt to foster a more honest dialogue about the postpartum experience.

“This post isn’t for pity! Promise, I’m feeling great now! But wanted to share for any other momma going to experience this or are going through it!”

By sharing her raw experience, Joubert joins a growing movement of public figures choosing to bypass the “perfect mom” narrative in favor of genuine support for fellow parents navigating the highs and lows of the postpartum season.
