The South African entertainment scene is bracing for a legal battle as Andile Mpisane officially fires back against assault allegations leveled by influencer Inno Morolong. Mpisane has issued a strict 24-hour ultimatum, demanding a public apology and a full retraction of the “baseless” claims.
The Allegations
The controversy ignited after Morolong took to Instagram to detail a harrowing experience at a popular Johannesburg nightclub. She accused the Royal AM chairman and a group of men—whom she referred to as “nkabi’s” (hitmen)—of physical assault.
“I was attacked by men last night at the club… My life is in danger; I’m not okay,” she posted, later confirming she had opened a formal case at the Sandton Police Station.
Morolong maintains that CCTV footage from the venue will corroborate her version of events.
The Defense: “Guest Host, Not Aggressor”
Mpisane’s legal team has moved swiftly to distance the star from the incident. According to their statement:
- Presence vs. Participation: Mpisane was at the club in a professional capacity as a guest host.
- Misidentification: The legal team asserts that the altercation involved venue security personnel, not Mpisane or his personal entourage.
- No Physical Involvement: He firmly denies laying a hand on Morolong or instructing anyone else to do so.
The 24-Hour Ultimatum
The clock is ticking for Morolong. Mpisane’s representatives have warned that if a public apology and withdrawal of the statements are not issued within 24 hours, they will proceed with defamation and further legal action.
The situation remains tense as the public waits to see if Morolong will double down on her claims or meet the legal demands.
