Kaizer Chiefs are closing in on a lucrative player sale after agreeing a transfer fee with Libyan powerhouse Al Ahly Benghazi for DR Congo international winger Glody Makabi Lilepo.
The 28-year-old attacker looks set to bring his 18-month stay at Naturena to an end, having tallied an impressive 15 goals and 5 assists in 56 appearances across all competitions since arriving in Soweto in January 2025.

According to SABC Sport journalist Mazola Molefe, the two clubs have formally reached a financial agreement, clearing the path for Lilepo to complete his transfer to North Africa:
“I promised you a Kaizer Chiefs story. It’s with regards to their striker or wing man, that’s Glody Lilepo,” Molefe revealed on SABC Sport. “I understand that Kaizer Chiefs have agreed a club-to-club fee with Al Ahly Benghazi in Libya.”
