Orlando Pirates have reopened transfer negotiations with Stellenbosch FC for highly regarded 21-year-old goalkeeper Dublin Boon, shifting away from a swap deal to pursue a straight permanent transfer.
The Sea Robbers initially sought to sign the New Zealand-born shot-stopper as part of a player exchange involving midfielder Kabelo Dlamini. However, the deal fell through after Dlamini declined a move to the Cape Winelands, opting to stay at Naturena/Soweto and earn a new two-year contract extension.
The Agent’s Update & Straight Transfer Deal
With the player-swap option off the table, Bucs management returned to Stellenbosch with a fresh proposal for a standalone transfer fee.
Boon’s representative, Rasthoem Simons, confirmed that negotiations between the two Betway Premiership clubs are progressing positively:
