Fans of South African DJ and radio personality Lamiez Holworthy-Morule have been left concerned after the Metro FM presenter was reportedly rushed to hospital following a sudden medical emergency.
According to reports published on Monday, 10 August 2026, Lamiez underwent an emergency surgical procedure after being hospitalised. Her management has confirmed that the situation is not life-threatening, although the exact nature of the medical emergency and details of the procedure have not been made public.
Lamiez forced to cancel scheduled appearances
The unexpected hospitalization has also affected Lamiez’s professional commitments. Her management confirmed that she would miss several scheduled appearances, including engagements planned for Sunday, 9 August, and Monday, 10 August 2026.
An apology was reportedly extended to promoters, event organisers, clients and partners affected by the cancellations, with further dates expected to be arranged once the popular presenter is medically cleared to return to work.
