Kane Keid is keeping the momentum behind his upcoming debut album SON OF SOiL going with the release of the official music video for “LELO.”
The Thembisa-born rapper and songwriter, whose real name is Lonwabo Nkhoesa, has paired the previously released single with a new visual while simultaneously building anticipation for his next release, “Take Time.”
Keid announced the video’s arrival on Instagram, where he also confirmed that “Take Time” will drop this Friday, 9 October.
Kane Keid brings ‘LELO’ to life
Originally released on 12 June 2026 as Keid’s first official single of the year, “LELO” now enters its next chapter with an official music video.
The visual was directed and shot by By Some Idiot Studios and premiered on Channel O on Monday, 5 October, before being made available online.
The video keeps Keid at the centre of the narrative, drawing inspiration from his Thembisa roots while continuing the visual identity established with his SON OF SOiL (RESET) introduction.
Produced by Malume LiieLow, “LELO” combines melodic elements with Keid’s introspective songwriting, reinforcing the artistic direction he is establishing ahead of his debut album.
‘SON OF SOiL’ rollout gathers momentum
“LELO” forms part of a wider campaign leading into SON OF SOiL.
Keid previously introduced the project through SON OF SOiL (RESET) before surprising fans with the four-track NOTE2SELF EP, featuring collaborations with Issi and Shannon.
The releases have allowed the rapper to gradually reveal different sides of his artistry while keeping anticipation around the forthcoming album alive.
‘Take Time’ arrives this Friday
Keid’s rollout continues on Friday with the release of “Take Time,” a new collaboration featuring Sino Msolo and Ficz.
The upcoming track is expected to showcase another reflective side of the rapper as he continues developing the sound and themes surrounding SON OF SOiL.
The release adds to a career that has seen Keid build his profile through freestyles, live performances and projects including the critically recognised Not Famous EP.
His earlier work also attracted international attention from music figures such as Timbaland and will.i.am.
With the “LELO” visuals now out and “Take Time” around the corner, Kane Keid is steadily moving into the next stage of his SON OF SOiL journey.
