The Betway Premiership is back for matchday nine, with four fixtures on Tuesday night, all kicking off at 19:30. Here is how we see each one going.

Orlando Pirates vs TS Galaxy (Orlando Amstel Arena)

The league champions are looking for a response after a 2-0 loss to Mamelodi Sundowns in the MTN8 final. TS Galaxy are winless in three, with 1-0 defeats to newcomers Kruger United and Chippa United. A wounded Pirates side should be too strong.

Prediction: Orlando Pirates 3-1 TS Galaxy

Kaizer Chiefs vs Stellenbosch FC (FNB Stadium)

Chiefs’ unbeaten start is under pressure. They come off a goalless draw with Golden Arrows in Mbombela, and Lebohang Maboe, Siphesihle Ndlovu and Adolf Mtasingwa are all out, leaving them short of senior central midfielders. Gavin Hunt’s Stellenbosch are unbeaten in three, with draws against Sekhukhune United and Durban City and a 1-0 win over Kruger United. Expect a debut for their new Nigerian midfielder. With Chiefs at home after two straight draws, we expect them to grind out the result.

Prediction: Kaizer Chiefs 2-1 Stellenbosch FC

Richards Bay vs Mamelodi Sundowns (Princess Magogo Stadium, Durban)

Dimitar Pantev takes charge for the first time against the African champions and MTN8 winners. His side are still searching for a first win this season, with four defeats and three draws. Richards Bay should put up a fight, but Sundowns’ quality should win out.

Prediction: Richards Bay 1-3 Sundowns

Durban City vs AmaZulu (Chatsworth Stadium)

The season’s first Durban derby brings Eric Tinkler’s debut as Durban City coach, replacing Khalil Ben Youssef. City haven’t won in three, with draws against Stellenbosch and Milford and a 2-0 loss to Pirates. AmaZulu have been a surprise package under Arthur Zwane, sitting third with five wins, one defeat and a draw. Striker Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya is in the form of his life, with eight goals in seven league games.

Prediction: Durban City 2-2 AmaZulu
