The sound was already out. Now the look has arrived. Rush-Awa have released the official music video for “Ntshepe,” bringing Loatinover Pounds, Sjava and Cassper Nyovest into a polished, street-styled visual world.
The production duo, MashBeatz and DJ Sliqe, put the video on YouTube on 12 October 2026. It adds another milestone to their growing catalogue.
Behind the visuals
Kid Kadi directed the five-minute video and also handled the cinematography and camera work. The result leans on fashion, cinematic framing and a confident street aesthetic that matches the track’s mood. Chris Ninah did the colour grading, and Rush-Awa executive produced.

How “Ntshepe” got here
The song first appeared as the opening track on The Mxr 8, MashBeatz and DJ Sliqe’s latest mix project. Listener demand pushed the full version out on 28 August 2026, and each of its three voices brings something different:
- Loatinover Pounds supplies the Pitori flavour, with catchy hooks and local-language expressions.
- Sjava steps out of his usual lane with a full Spitori verse.
- Cassper Nyovest closes out the line-up with his commanding presence.
A cooler side of Rush-Awa
The video also keeps the buzz going for the duo’s upcoming album. Their debut single, “Lapisa,” was high-energy club music. “Ntshepe” is cooler and more measured, which leaves space for each artist’s delivery and lyrics. Local language, hip-hop production and contrasting vocal styles give the record its own identity.
Fan reaction
Viewers have pointed to the chemistry between the three artists, the production quality and the performances. Loatinover Pounds’ hooks and Sjava’s Spitori verse have drawn the most praise.
With the audio and visuals now both out, MashBeatz and DJ Sliqe are positioning Rush-Awa as a creative force in South African hip-hop, pairing established names with emerging voices to widen their reach.
“Ntshepe” is streaming now, and the official video is on the Rush-Awa YouTube channel.
