The announcement described Zee as a South African singer and songwriter who will bring some of the country’s much-loved music to the grand stage.

Her inclusion adds a musical dimension to the occasion, which will bring together contestants, celebrities, supporters and distinguished guests to celebrate South African women and crown the next holder of the prestigious title.

Sandton set for the 2026 crowning moment

The Miss South Africa 2026 finale is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 14 November, at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg.

The event will mark the end of Qhawekazi Mazaleni’s reign as Miss South Africa 2025. After a year representing the country, Mazaleni will pass on the crown to the contestant selected to take over the title.

With Zee Nxumalo confirmed among the performers, the finale is shaping up to be a night combining fashion, entertainment and the recognition of women making an impact in South Africa.

Thuli Madonsela leads a distinguished judging panel

Organisers have also unveiled the panel tasked with selecting the next Miss South Africa.

Advocate Thuli Madonsela is among the judges, bringing her experience and public leadership profile to the selection process. She will be joined by Miss South Africa 2023 Natasha Vermaak, formerly Joubert, medical doctor and television personality Dr Musa Mthombeni, and African Women Chartered Accountants president Pumla Molope.

The panel will assess the contestants and decide who best embodies the qualities and values associated with the Miss South Africa title.

Anticipation grows ahead of finale

The combination of a high-profile judging panel and a live performance from Zee Nxumalo is adding to the excitement surrounding this year’s competition.

As the 14 November date approaches, attention will turn to the finalists and the woman who will succeed Qhawekazi Mazaleni.

For Zee Nxumalo, the appearance offers another major platform to showcase her music. For Miss South Africa, it promises a finale celebrating talent, ambition and the achievements of South African women.
