Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed the immediate departure of Portuguese midfielder Miguel Reisinho as the club continues to reshape its squad.
Reisinho, 27, joined the Brazilians at the beginning of last season but struggled to establish himself as a regular under head coach Miguel Cardoso.
His exit opens up another foreign-player spot and could give Sundowns greater flexibility as they consider further additions to their squad.
Reisinho’s Sundowns spell ends
The Portuguese midfielder made 14 competitive appearances for Sundowns during his time at the club, scoring two goals and providing one assist.
Despite showing flashes of quality, Reisinho was unable to nail down a regular starting position as competition for places remained fierce.
Sundowns have now confirmed that his contract has been terminated, bringing his spell in Tshwane to an end.
His departure could prove significant for the club’s squad planning, particularly with Sundowns already carrying several foreign players.

The 20-year-old has signed a contract extension with the club despite currently spending the season on loan at French Ligue 1 side LOSC Lille.
Lille reportedly have an option to make Sibiya’s move permanent at the end of his loan spell.
If the French club decide to exercise that option, they would have to trigger the buy-out clause included in Sibiya’s new Sundowns contract.
The move underlines Sundowns’ desire to retain control over the future of one of their promising young defenders while he continues his development in France.
