Lehlohonolo Seema and Cédric Kaze are the first PSL coaches to lose their jobs this season. Here are five coaches who could be under pressure next.

The 2026/27 Premier Soccer League season is still in its early stages, but the pressure on coaches is already beginning to rise.

Lehlohonolo Seema and Cédric Kaze have become the first two coaching casualties of the new campaign, with both clubs making changes after disappointing starts.

And with results expected to determine the fate of several coaches, the question now is: who could be the next PSL mentor to leave his post?

Kaze First to Go at Sekhukhune United

Sekhukhune United were the first club to make a coaching change this season after parting ways with Cédric Kaze.

The Burundian coach had only taken charge at Babina Noko at the beginning of the campaign following his departure from Kaizer Chiefs.

Kaze oversaw six official matches during his short spell in charge, winning two and losing four.

His record included three defeats against Orlando Pirates, although he was suspended for Sekhukhune’s final loss to the Buccaneers.

With results failing to meet expectations, the club opted to act early rather than allow the situation to deteriorate further.

Seema’s Siwelele Struggles Continue

Lehlohonolo Seema was the second coach to lose his job after Siwelele FC decided to make a change following their 3-2 defeat to Kaizer Chiefs.

Seema’s side had endured a difficult opening to their league campaign, failing to register a victory in their first five matches.

Siwelele collected just two points from those games after recording two draws and three defeats.

The loss to Chiefs ultimately proved to be the final straw, bringing Seema’s latest spell in charge to an end.

Five PSL Coaches Under Pressure

With two coaches already gone, attention now turns to other teams struggling for consistency.

Five coaches who could find themselves under increasing pressure if results do not improve are:

Khalil Ben Youssef – Durban City

Durban City will be hoping for a turnaround in results, with Khalil Ben Youssef among the coaches who could come under scrutiny if his team fails to find momentum.

Phuti Mohafe – Marumo Gallants

Marumo Gallants will also need results to go their way. Phuti Mohafe could face difficult questions if his side continues to struggle.

Brandon Truter – Chippa United

Chippa United have shown flashes of competitiveness, but Brandon Truter will know that league results ultimately determine how much patience a coach receives.

Bernard Parker – TS Galaxy

TS Galaxy coach Bernard Parker is another name worth monitoring. A poor run of results could increase pressure on the former Bafana Bafana star.

Abram Mongoya – Kruger United

Newly promoted Kruger United face the difficult task of competing at PSL level, putting Abram Mongoya under pressure to ensure the club remains competitive.

Who Will Be Next?

The season is still young, meaning there is plenty of time for coaches to turn their fortunes around.

However, with two coaches already out of work, the PSL’s coaching merry-go-round could gather pace if struggling teams fail to pick up points.

Which PSL coach do you think is under the most pressure right now?

And more importantly, who will be the next coach to face the axe?
