South African rapper Yungboyvegeta is entering a new phase of his career — one where quality, honesty and longevity matter more than simply releasing music as often as possible.
The Ladysmith-born artist, whose real name is Lebogang, recently opened up about his decision to slow down his release schedule, revealing that it has been almost a year since he last released a full project.
During that period, he has released only two songs.

“It’s been almost a year without me dropping a body of work with only 2 songs throughout the year, not because I stopped making music but because I became very much intentional towards these records.”

“It took me a lot of self-esteem to create with what was so hard for me to express.”

“Hopefully someone will press play 10 years later and feel how I felt when I listened to the final product.”
