The Springboks have confirmed their final Test match before beginning their 2027 Rugby World Cup title defence, with Fiji set to provide the opposition in Gosford, Australia.
The highly anticipated clash will take place at Polytec Stadium on Saturday, 18 September 2027, with kick-off scheduled for 18:00 AEST (10:00 South African time).
The fixture was officially announced one year before the Rugby World Cup gets underway and will form an important part of the preparations for both nations.

The Springboks will have just over two weeks to prepare for their opening Rugby World Cup match after the Fiji Test.
South Africa’s title defence will begin against Italy in Adelaide on Sunday, 3 October 2027.
That makes the Gosford encounter the final competitive test before Erasmus and his coaching staff turn their full attention to the World Cup campaign.
Tickets expected to be in demand
With Polytec Stadium’s capacity limited to 20,000, strong demand is expected from both Springbok and Fijian supporters.
Tickets are scheduled to go on sale at 10:00 on Tuesday, 29 September 2026, with supporters encouraged to register on the official waitlist ahead of the release.
