Controversial influencer and DJ Cyan Boujee (born Honour Zuma) is facing potential legal action as 2025 draws to a close. The star is being accused of failing to honor a high-profile booking in the Northern Cape, despite reportedly being paid in full.
The incident has sparked outrage among event organizers and disappointed fans who traveled to see the headliner during the height of the festive season.

The Dispute: Katchane Lifestyle & KANAAN Pool Party
According to reports surfaced by MDN News, Cyan Boujee was contracted to headline the Katchane Lifestyle & KANAAN Pool Party on December 27, 2025.
The Organizers’ Claims:
- Full Payment: Organizers allege Cyan was paid a booking fee of R28,000 upfront.
- Travel Covered: In addition to the fee, the team reportedly provided flights and accommodation for the DJ and her management.
- The “Ghosting”: Despite previous confirmation, organizers claim that on the day of the event, all attempts to contact Cyan and her team were met with silence.
Stole and Ran Off: Legal Action Looming
Following the no-show, the event management issued a public apology to ticket holders and expressed their intention to recover their funds through the courts.
“We will be dealing legally with Cyan Boujee and her team, as this basically means they stole and ran off with our money,” the organizers stated in a blunt address to the media.

A Year of Highs and Lows
The alleged no-show adds another chapter to a turbulent 2025 for the DJ. Earlier this year, Cyan faced significant backlash and lost several brand deals over her promotion of the controversial Alabuga Start program in Russia. While she remains a “booking magnet” with over 60 dates on her recent festive gig guide, this latest legal threat raises questions about her brand’s reliability heading into 2026.
