Lekompo musician Lehlogonolo Katlego Chauke, popularly known as Shebeshxt, is facing fresh legal troubles while awaiting trial. The Rato Laka hitmaker has allegedly been slapped with additional charges after prison authorities discovered prohibited contraband in his possession while in custody.
Contraband Discovered Behind Bars
According to reports, the items confiscated during a routine search included a cellphone and a pipe suspected to be used for smoking drugs. Possession of these items is strictly prohibited within correctional facilities, leading to the new charges being added to his already heavy docket.
Ongoing Legal Battle
Shebeshxt has remained behind bars since his arrest in late 2025 on serious charges of attempted murder. Those charges stem from an alleged road-rage incident where a motorist was shot and seriously injured.
This latest development further complicates his case, as the court considers his bail conditions and the seriousness of his actions while in detention.
