The decision is being hailed as a tactical masterstroke by former Bafana Bafana coach Augusto Palacios, who believes facing the Central American side is the perfect “dress rehearsal” for South Africa’s high-stakes World Cup opener against co-hosts Mexico.

Bafana Bafana will bring the spirit of the “Ghost” and the “Yellow Nation” to two of South Africa’s most iconic coastal venues:
