The Junior Springboks are ready to launch their title defense on home soil, and they have the ultimate motivation behind them. Two-time World Cup-winning captain Siya Kolisi has issued a powerful message of support to the U20 squad ahead of their opening clash against Argentina’s Los Pumitas.
Returning captain Riley Norton leads a talented South African side into the tournament opener in the Eastern Cape—a province renowned for its deep rugby roots and passionate fans.
The Captain’s Blessing
Kolisi, who hails from the region, reflected on his own journey while encouraging the next generation to embrace the moment.
“My journey with the national team started with the SA U18s… I too sat in those chairs with the Junior Boks,” Kolisi shared. “Rugby is a fantastic platform to express yourself, so go out and enjoy the experience.”
The Springbok legend also confirmed he will be in the stands at the stadium, joined by friends from Zwide, to cheer on the boys in person.
