The Springboks have beefed up their loose forward stock ahead of a bruising winter schedule. Powerful Vodacom Bulls back-rower Elrigh Louw has been officially drafted into the national squad in Johannesburg as additional forward cover for the highly anticipated inaugural Nations Championship campaign.
Louw’s return marks an incredible story of resilience. The 26-year-old Pretoria-born powerhouse played the last of his 13 Test matches against Wales in November 2024, before a devastating knee injury wiped out the vast majority of his 2025 season. Following a string of massive, dominant performances for the Bulls this year, Rassie Erasmus has officially welcomed the physical enforcer back into the green and gold mix.
