
DURBAN — KwaZulu-Natal’s rising soccer power, Durban City FC, has officially announced global sportswear giant Umbro as the club’s new technical sponsor on a three-season deal ahead of the highly anticipated 2026/27 campaign.
The agreement marks another massive milestone in the club’s meteoric rise, ensuring that both their men’s and women’s squads are fully outfitted in high-performance gear as they prepare to make their debut on the continental stage.
A Partnership Built on Historic Success
The deal follows an unforgettable 2025/26 season for the Durban-based side. In their debut top-flight campaign, Durban City exceeded all expectations:
- Top 8 Finish: Secured a comfortable spot in the upper half of the Betway Premiership.
- Nedbank Cup Champions: Lifted the 2026 Nedbank Cup, becoming the first KwaZulu-Natal club to win the prestigious tournament in 17 years.
- Continental Ticket: Booked a historic place in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup to represent South Africa.
