South African comedian and television host Trevor Noah has achieved another major career milestone, transitioning from five-time host of the Grammy Awards to a nominee himself.
The nominations for the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, announced on Friday, November 7, 2025, included Noah’s audiobook, Into the Uncut Grass, which secured a coveted nod in the Best Audiobook category. He will be competing against notable figures, including Fab Morvan and the Dalai Lama.

This recognition marks a full-circle moment for the former host of The Daily Show, whose career first received global acclaim with his bestselling memoir, Born a Crime.
Noah has often spoken about his deep connection to the art of storytelling, noting how the spoken word resonates uniquely with audiences. He previously told CBS:
“I loved seeing how different people connect with the story when it is spoken to them. I have always been a storyteller, and I come from a culture of storytellers.β
He also reflected on the broader cultural impact of his previous audio work, sharing that his first audiobook had been adopted as a valuable educational tool for students, allowing them to engage with both his personal history and the story of South Africa.
