Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Imimba actor Prince Grootboom and Love and Wine star Rorisang Mohapi has shared the intimate details of their stunning romance. From a chance meeting on a dance floor in Gqeberha to a dramatic Cape Town proposal, this couple is defining #CoupleGoals.

A Chance Encounter, Two Years in the Making
Their love story started in unconventional fashion at the White Tiger restaurant in Gqeberha.
“We met on the dance floor,” Rorisang reminisced. “It felt as though it was just the two of us in the room. I left the restaurant with my best friend, he left with his… and we never saw each other again until two years later, when we bumped into each other at an audition!”
Prince knew immediately that he wouldn’t let fate slip away a second time. “When we met again after two years, I said to myself, ‘I am not letting go.'”
The Cape Town Proposal
The romance culminated in a dramatic proposal in Cape Town. Despite the original venue being fully booked, Prince managed to organize a picturesque setup at another wine farm.
“The whole time, I was a nervous wreck,” Prince admitted. “We arrived very late and they were about to close… I’m happy it worked out for her and me.”
Rorisang’s reaction was perfectly authentic: “I definitely ugly cried and did not keep it cute!”
The Dynamics of Their Love
When asked about what the public doesn’t see, Rorisang revealed that Prince is surprisingly “goofy” and “socially awkward,” a sharp contrast to his chilled public persona.
As for their love languages, Rorisang cherishes quality time, grand gestures, and physical touch, while Prince has mastered the art of keeping the peace: “I’m learning that to keep the other person happy, you need to apologize, whether you were right or wrong. Happy wife, happy life, right?”
