Five fixtures across three competitions will test Abdeslam Ouaddou’s squad, starting with a cup final against Mamelodi Sundowns and ending with Kaizer Chiefs.
Orlando Pirates have a month that could define their season. It opens with the MTN8 final against Mamelodi Sundowns, runs through a two-legged CAF Champions League qualifier, and closes with the Soweto Derby.
The cup final comes first
The Buccaneers meet Sundowns in the MTN8 final on Saturday, 10 October at 18:00. It is one of the biggest matches on their calendar, and it sets the tone for everything that follows.
Continental duty
Pirates then turn to Africa, travelling to face Namibian side African Stars in the first leg of their CAF Champions League second qualifying-round tie on 17 October at 17:00. The return leg is on 24 October at 17:00, with Pirates at home as they look to progress.
League action in between
The Betway Premiership fixture against TS Galaxy is pencilled in for 18 October at 18:00, the day after the first leg, but it is expected to be rescheduled.
Derby to finish
The month ends with Kaizer Chiefs visiting on Saturday, 31 October at 15:30. The Soweto Derby falls just a week after the African Stars second leg, so squad depth and recovery will matter.
