Following a massive squad clearance that saw 16 players depart, head coach Brandon Truter—who earned a long-term contract after saving the club from the promotion-relegation playoffs with a dramatic 1-0 win over Kaizer Chiefs on the final day of last season—has been given full backing to rebuild the squad.
