The race for the first silverware of the 2026/27 season officially gets underway this weekend!
The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has confirmed the official kick-off times and stadium venues for the MTN8 quarter-finals, taking place across Saturday, 8 August, and Sunday, 9 August.
Defending champions Orlando Pirates head into the tournament looking to rewrite the record books, while Kaizer Chiefs make their highly anticipated return to the tournament under Fernando da Cruz after missing out last season.

Having opened their Betway Premiership campaign with a win over Milford, Abdeslam Ouaddou’s Buccaneers turn their focus to history. If Pirates defend their title this season, they will become the first team in South African football history to win the MTN8 crown five consecutive times.
Last season, Pirates dramatically sealed their title against Stellenbosch with a 3–0 extra-time victory, courtesy of a Tshepang Moremi brace and a Tshegofatso Mabasa strike.
