Police have arrested a third suspect in connection with the murder of popular South African DJ Warrick Stock, widely known as DJ Warras, who was killed in Msinga, KwaZulu-Natal, on 16 December 2025.
The latest suspect has been identified as 40-year-old Hlengiwe Buthelezi, who had been wanted by police in connection with allegations of murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
Buthelezi allegedly linked to the murder plot
According to the State’s case, Buthelezi allegedly played a role in the events leading to DJ Warras’ death by forwarding information about the DJ’s vehicle, as well as details relating to his partner, to Victor Majola, one of the accused in the matter.
Majola is alleged by the State to have orchestrated the murder.
Buthelezi is also believed to have been linked personally to Majola, with reports indicating that she was allegedly his girlfriend at the time.
Police had previously appealed to the public for assistance in locating Buthelezi. In August, authorities released her photograph and requested information about her whereabouts as the investigation into the murder continued.
Her arrest now brings the number of suspects connected to the case to three.
Gunman already serving 25-year sentence
Another accused, Armando Pacula, has already been sentenced to 25 years in prison after pleading guilty to the murder.
Pacula entered into a plea and sentencing agreement with the State, admitting his involvement in the killing. The agreement brought an important development in the case and provided investigators and prosecutors with further information about the alleged circumstances surrounding DJ Warras’ death.
The remaining accused are now expected to face further legal proceedings as the State continues to build its case.

DJ Warras’ death sent shockwaves through South Africa’s entertainment community. The popular DJ had built a strong following through his work in the music and entertainment industry, making his killing a major talking point among fans and fellow creatives.
