A Springbok player found himself at the centre of an unexpected viral moment after a locker-room camera appeared to capture him changing during the team’s clash with Australia.
The incident happened at Optus Stadium in Perth, where the Springboks were taking on the Wallabies in a one-off Test.
Springbok locker-room moment goes viral
Australian broadcaster Stan Sport was filming inside the Springbok locker room during the match when the camera captured several reserve players preparing and changing into their playing kits.
One player appeared to be briefly caught in a compromising moment in the background, creating an unexpected distraction from the action on the field.
The clip quickly made its way onto X, where rugby fans reacted with a mixture of surprise and humour.
One post joked about “cracks appearing in the Springbok dressing room”, while another fan quipped about the player’s decision to turn away from the camera.
The moment has since added another talking point to a match that already produced plenty of drama.
Springboks suffer narrow defeat in Perth
The locker-room incident came during a difficult afternoon for South Africa, with the Wallabies claiming a 42-38 victory at Optus Stadium.
Australia’s win also saw them reclaim the Mandela Challenge Plate for the first time since 2022.
The Springboks will now have a break before returning to Test action against Italy in Turin on 7 November.
For now, however, the unexpected locker-room footage is generating plenty of conversation among rugby supporters online.
