Loki has fans speculating about new music after sharing a glimpse of a late-night studio session with Benny Maverick and Triple X Da Ghost.
The Durban rapper recently connected with producer Benny Maverick in the studio, with Triple X Da Ghost also part of the session. While Loki stopped short of officially announcing a new release, his social media post has already fuelled speculation about what the trio could be working on.
Sharing a photo from the session, Loki wrote:
“Got to link up with my broer @bennymaverick eStudio 🥂🤞🏾 kwashawa iNamba!! Obvious bekukhona inja @triplexdghost_rsa 🙂↕️🤞🏾 ak’lalwa!”
The message points to a productive studio link-up, with Loki suggesting that something exciting was created during the session. His reference to Triple X Da Ghost further adds intrigue to a potential collaboration involving the three artists.
Loki, Benny Maverick and Triple X Da Ghost in the studio
The link-up brings together three names with established connections to Durban’s hip-hop culture.
Benny Maverick has built a reputation for his production work and has collaborated with Triple X Da Ghost on various releases. Their creative partnership has also featured on Benny’s more recent material, including his 2025 album Valencia.
Loki, meanwhile, has continued to carve out his own identity within South African hip-hop. Known for his distinctive delivery and storytelling, the Durban rapper has remained active in the local scene through collaborations and releases, including his association with Skhanda World and projects such as MOB.
The latest studio session could therefore bring together different creative strengths, with Benny handling production while Loki and Triple X Da Ghost contribute their respective rap styles.
Is new music on the way?
For now, there is no official confirmation that the studio session has resulted in a new single or a larger project.
Loki has not revealed a song title, release date or whether the recording is intended for his own catalogue, a Benny Maverick project or a joint release.
That uncertainty has not stopped fans from speculating.
Given the chemistry between the artists and their previous connections, the session could potentially lead to a standalone collaboration, a feature or even a bigger project.
For now, fans will have to wait for the artists to reveal exactly what came out of the studio.
Could Loki, Benny Maverick and Triple X Da Ghost be preparing a major Durban hip-hop collaboration?
