Kaizer Chiefs move their final 2025/26 Betway Premiership match against Chippa United to Moses Mabhida Stadium.

In a strategic shift for their final fixture of the 2025/26 Betway Premiership campaign, Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that their clash against Chippa United has been relocated. Originally scheduled for FNB Stadium, the match will now take place at the iconic Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

While the scenery has changed, the schedule remains set for Saturday, 23 May, at 15:00.

The “Home Away from Home” Factor

The decision to move the season finale to KwaZulu-Natal isn’t a random one. Amakhosi have treated Durban as a secondary fortress this season, enjoying a strong relationship with the local “Khosination” supporters. Their record at Moses Mabhida over the past year has been largely successful:

  • February 2026 (CAF Confederation Cup): Chiefs secured a vital 1–0 win over Zambia’s Zesco United, with Pule Mmodi netting the decisive goal.
  • March 2026 (Betway Premiership): The Glamour Boys cruised to a 2–0 victory against Magesi FC. Goals from starlets Wandile Duba and Mfundo Vilakazi, coupled with a Man of the Match performance by Lebohang Maboe, solidified the venue’s “feel-good” factor.
  • July 2025 (Toyota Cup): The only blemish was a narrow penalty shootout loss (3–2) to Asante Kotoko following a stalemate in regulation time.
