Cassper Nyovest’s Million Voices campaign is continuing its push to tackle period poverty, with Universal Music South Africa contributing R25,000 towards the initiative.
The campaign uses Cassper’s public platform to raise awareness about the challenges faced by young girls who struggle to access basic sanitary products.
For many schoolgirls, a lack of menstrual products can mean missing classes and potentially losing out on important educational opportunities. The Million Voices initiative aims to help address that gap by supporting access to sanitary products and shining a spotlight on period poverty.

Universal Music South Africa backs the initiative
Cassper expressed his appreciation to Universal Music South Africa for coming on board and contributing R25,000 to the campaign.
The rapper said the support demonstrates how platforms and partnerships can be used to create meaningful change in communities.
The initiative is also being supported by Afribiz Entertainment Foundation, with the campaign encouraging greater awareness around menstrual health and the impact of period poverty.
Using a platform to create an impact
The Million Voices campaign is built around the idea that public platforms can be used for more than entertainment.
By highlighting the experiences of young girls affected by a lack of menstrual products, the initiative aims to encourage conversations around access, dignity and education.
The campaign’s message is particularly focused on ensuring that menstruation does not become a barrier to attending school or pursuing opportunities.
With Universal Music South Africa’s R25,000 contribution adding to the campaign’s efforts, Million Voices continues to call attention to an issue affecting young women and girls across South Africa.
The initiative is being promoted under the hashtags #MillionVoices, #EndPeriodPoverty, #PeriodPowerByCassper and #HearMyVoice.
