Betway Premiership matches are postponed this week as the Carling Knockout quarter-finals take centre stage. Only Sundowns vs Golden Arrows has confirmed details.

South African football supporters will have a reduced Betway Premiership programme this week, with local government elections prompting the postponement of league fixtures.

Attention is instead expected to turn to the Carling Knockout, where eight clubs are preparing to compete for places in the semi-finals.

However, uncertainty remains over the schedule, with the Premier Soccer League (PSL) yet to announce the dates, venues and kick-off times for three of the four quarter-final encounters.

Sundowns and Golden Arrows get the quarter-final action underway

Mamelodi Sundowns are currently the only club with a confirmed Carling Knockout quarter-final date, venue and kick-off time.

The reigning CAF Champions League holders are scheduled to welcome Golden Arrows to Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria on Tuesday, 3 November 2026. The match is set to kick off at 19:00.

The other three fixtures are still awaiting official confirmation from the PSL.

Carling Knockout quarter-final fixtures

  • Mamelodi Sundowns vs Golden Arrows – Tuesday, 3 November 2026, Loftus Versfeld Stadium, Pretoria. Kick-off: 19:00.
  • Kaizer Chiefs vs Siwelele FC – Date and kick-off time to be confirmed. Venue: FNB Stadium.
  • Orlando Pirates vs Sekhukhune United – Date, venue and kick-off time to be confirmed.
  • Stellenbosch FC vs AmaZulu FC – Date, venue and kick-off time to be confirmed.

PSL scheduling uncertainty leaves supporters waiting

Kaizer Chiefs are expected to host Siwelele FC at FNB Stadium, while Orlando Pirates are scheduled to face Sekhukhune United at the Orlando Amstel Arena.

Stellenbosch FC and AmaZulu FC will also meet in a quarter-final clash, although the details of that encounter have yet to be released.

The delay in confirming the remaining fixtures means supporters of the six clubs involved cannot yet make firm plans to attend their teams’ matches.

With Betway Premiership action on hold for the week, the Carling Knockout is set to become the main attraction on the domestic football calendar.

The competition has reached a crucial stage, with every quarter-final winner moving one step closer to lifting the trophy. The PSL’s outstanding announcements will therefore be important for clubs, players and supporters alike.

For now, Sundowns versus Golden Arrows is the only confirmed fixture, leaving fans of the other six teams waiting for clarity.

Recent Carling Knockout winners

The competition has produced several different champions over the years, with Orlando Pirates winning the 2025 edition and Magesi FC claiming the trophy in 2024.
