South African rapper and storyteller Kane Keid has teamed up with R&B and soul vocalist Xowié once again for a new collaborative single titled Distance.
Released on 5 November 2026 through Exodus Entertainment, the song marks another chapter in the artists’ musical partnership, following the positive reception of their previous collaboration, Brown Sugar.
The reunion brings together two artists whose contrasting yet complementary styles previously created a memorable musical connection.
Kane Keid and Xowié Build on ‘Brown Sugar’ Chemistry
Xowié confirmed the latest collaboration through a social media announcement, expressing excitement about reuniting with Kane Keid.
“Back again. 🤎 After the love and success of Brown Sugar, we’re back once again. Some chemistry is worth revisiting,” she wrote.
Their decision to work together again follows the release of Brown Sugar in late November 2025.
The earlier collaboration blended nostalgic 1990s-inspired soul production with Xowié’s smooth vocals and Kane Keid’s melodic storytelling. Its combination of contemporary R&B and classic soul influences helped the record connect with listeners.
The accompanying music video further introduced the collaboration to audiences before the song featured on Xowié’s ALLO (Deluxe) project.
With Distance, the duo are revisiting that creative connection while offering listeners a new release.
Kane Keid Continues Preparing for ‘SON OF SOiL’
Beyond his collaboration with Xowié, Kane Keid has continued developing his individual music career.
The rapper recently released Take Time, featuring Sino Msolo and Ficz, as he works towards his forthcoming debut album, SON OF SOiL.
The upcoming project represents another important step in his artistic journey, with the rapper continuing to explore storytelling and melodic influences in his music.
His latest collaboration with Xowié adds another release to his growing catalogue while keeping audiences engaged ahead of his anticipated album.
Xowié Expands Her Musical Catalogue
Xowié has also remained active, continuing to build her profile through solo releases and collaborations.
Her ALLO (Deluxe) project has provided another platform for showcasing her R&B and soul influences, while her reunion with Kane Keid demonstrates her willingness to revisit successful musical partnerships.
The release of Distance gives both artists another opportunity to connect with their existing audiences and attract new listeners.
Following the reception of Brown Sugar, fans will be interested to see whether their latest collaboration can recreate the same musical magic.
