Multi-talented media powerhouse, radio host, and songstress Relebogile Mabotja is stepping back into the musical spotlight. In an emotional announcement that has sent waves of excitement through the South African entertainment industry, the executive producer revealed that she will officially drop the live visual recording for her deeply personal debut EP, Still Me.
Taking to Instagram, Mabotja teased fans with an intimate 35-second snippet, offering a raw, behind-the-scenes look at the performance and opening up about the profound healing journey that birthed this unexpected project.
“Perfect Timing”: Songs Written Years Ago, Echoing Today
For Relebogile, Still Me Live is far more than a standard musical performance; it is a sonic time capsule. Reflecting on the project, she shared how music she penned years ago has found its true meaning in her present life.
“This is a performance for some of the songs on my debut EP,” Relebogile explained. “I am so excited for you to hear the music that was written quite long ago still applies today—and I believe in perfect timing.”
Embracing Life’s Detours Alongside Ri Benjamin
In a heartfelt caption detailing the origin of the recording, the star revealed that the project actually came together completely by accident, turning a sudden shift in her plans into a beautiful new creative chapter.
“What started as preparation for one thing unexpectedly became the beginning of something else,” she wrote. “Sometimes life asks us to take an off-ramp. What looks like a detour may be leading us exactly where we need to go. Still Me Live became that beautiful detour for me… I poured my heart and soul into this recording alongside my incredible band and special guest, Ri Benjamin.”
Backed by a world-class live band and featuring the soul-stirring vocal styling of guest artist Ri Benjamin, the visual album promises to give viewers an exclusive, front-row seat to Relebogile’s vulnerability, vocal range, and passion for authentic African storytelling.
