JOHANNESBURG — Power couple DJ Zinhle and Murdah Bongz (Mörda) are giving “forever goals” a whole new meaning. The award-winning DJ and her music-producer husband have officially broken ground on their dream retirement home.
Zinhle Jiyane took to Instagram to share a sneak peek of the construction site with her millions of followers, simply captioning the milestone: “Building our retirement home.”
The shared video shows the couple walking through the active site, where the concrete foundation has already been poured. Marking this massive financial and personal milestone, the happy couple was quickly flooded with celebratory messages from fans and high-profile industry peers.

The announcement sparked immediate excitement across South African entertainment circles:

Double Celebration: Asante IV Drops Soon
While the couple builds their physical sanctuary, Mörda is also building his musical legacy. The hitmaker is preparing to drop his highly anticipated solo project, Asante IV, on 31 July 2026.
Taking to social media to tease the launch, Mörda described the upcoming record as “The soundtrack to life.” Named after their young daughter, Asante, the album series acts as a sonic diary of his personal growth, fatherhood, and his signature blend of soul-stirring Afro-house.
Four Years of Strong Foundations
Having tied the knot in a private traditional lobola ceremony in March 2022, the couple has been happily married for over four years.
Together, they are raising a beautiful blended family. Their daughter, Asante Mohosana, was born in 2021, while Zinhle’s oldest daughter, Kairo Forbes (born 2015, with the late rap icon Kiernan “AKA” Forbes), completes their tight-knit household.
